U.S. Intelligence Agencies to Establish Cyberthreat Intelligence Sharing Center

On February 25, President Obama issued a memorandum directing the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to establish the Cyber Threat Intelligence Integration Center (CTIIC).  Creation of the CTIIC was first publicly announced on February 10 by Lisa Monaco, White House homeland security and counterterrorism advisor.  The purpose of the center is to provide a central clearinghouse for sharing cyberthreat information among all U.S. intelligence agencies, similar to what the National Counterterrorism Center does for terrorism, and to enable the sharing of threat information with the private sector.
